The "Building Virtual Learning Platform for Environmentally-Friendly Digital Transformation Management" project, with the number 2020-1-TR01-KA226-HE-098393, was supported by the European Union's Erasmus+ Partnerships for Digital Education Preparation (KA226) program. The project was led by Istanbul University.
The project will last for 24 months and will focus on cooperation between universities and businesses. It will include a wide range of activities, such as field research, study visits, and sharing of experiences in partner countries, as well as the creation of new curricula based on educational technologies. In the project, a digital transformation management curriculum and course materials will be made, and an international module will be made in Turkey, Germany, and the UK to bring experts who will help speed up the digital transformation of the labor market. The project, which was planned based on research done in the field in 2018, will help graduate students and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) improve their skills in digital transformation management in 2019. This will be done through activities like measuring digital maturity, creating a digital transformation strategy, and teaching people how to use new technologies like 3D printers. DigiVIP is the short name for the project. The goal of the project was to create a "green digital transformation" by making sure that all the results met the Sustainable Development Goals for Climate Action (13), Innovation and Infrastructure in Industry (9), and European Green Consensus priorities. In Turkey, the United Kingdom, and Germany, a lot of field applications, internships, and learning protocols will be done as part of the project.
The project is the result of a "evidence-based" study that used field research and good practices to produce learning outputs.
